Spring in New York is beautiful.
It’s full of new life, growth, and rejuvenation but the dreaded humidity for many women typically means ‘a bad hair day’!
“April showers bring May flowers”, but so far May is bringing more rain and unwanted hair frizz.
Below are my favorite products to combat the frizz and tame the hair beast:
- It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-In Plus Keratin – This product is great for creating silky smooth hair without weighing it down. A few sprays after a wash and you’re done. It protects hair from the harsh blow dryer heat and leaves a nice shine. Been using this fabulous product for at least a year and love it! All my kids use it. It conditions my son’s short hair and detangles my daughter’s curls with ease. It surely is a miracle in a bottle!
- It’s a 10 Miracle Styling Potion – A small amount of this cream on wet hair before a blow dry will reduce frizz, hydrate, and allow for smoother styling. I’ve been using this product for months (stylist recommended); it makes a noticeable difference on those humid rainy days. It protects my naturally curly hair from the wet weather frizz and leaves it calm, smooth and lightweight. I never skip adding this product to my hair.
- Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum – This serum promises frizz-free, shiny hair and it delivers. The bottle reads to apply to wet hair but I’ve been taught ‘creams are for wet hair, serums are for dry hair’ so I add a small drop to my dry hair. It immediately tames my thick hair after a blow dry and does not weigh it down or feel greasy.
The above completes my current hair care routine. It withstands ‘gym hair’ and ‘day-old’ hair styles. A quick refresh blow out and we’re back in action looking great.
Another great product to consider is Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Moroccan Sleek Oil. A small amount of oil on wet hair is another detangle wonder for my kids and myself. It does as the bottle says and makes frizzy dry unmanageable hair look great!
